How much do you know about RV knowledge!

Start dragging literacy stickers!

In fact, towing the RV is not difficult, but be sure to follow the correct towing rules and procedures. Bad towing habits on the damage to the vehicle is small, the impact of driving safety is big! Remember!

Today I will briefly describe the components required for the most common towing method. Hope to provide entry-level help for relevant partners!

The towing system is composed of 9 parts (see Figure 1)!

Tow Vehicle = tow vehicle

Trailer Hitch = trailer hitch

Receiver Tube = receiver tube

Hitch Pin = hook pin

Ball Mount = ball head base

Trailer Ball = trailer ball head

Trailer Wiring Harness = trailer wiring harness

Trailer Coupler = trailer linker

Safety Chains = Safety chains

Explain briefly what each part does!

Trailer Hitch. Trailer hitch

Also known as Receiver Hitch or Tow Hitch, general car shops or 4S shops can be modified. Its main function is to link the ball head base, which is generally a square mouth, inside which the ball head base is inserted, and finally fixed by the safety pin. About how to buy the right trailer hook, due to the word limit, will be introduced later!

Ball Mount ball head base

Link key components of trailer hooks and ball heads. One end is connected to the trailer hook and bolted, and the other end is connected to the ball head link. In addition to normal l installation, this component can also be reversely installed!

The Trailer Ball drags the ball head

Ball heads are available in several standard sizes: 1-7/8″, 2″, 2-5/16″ and 3″, as required with trailer linkers.

Hitch Pin Hook pin

A device that prevents the ball base from slipping out of the trailer hook, generally of the “L” type. Some in order to consider anti-theft, you can design a lock at the end to reduce the risk of theft.

Trailer Coupler Trailer linker

Link the ball heads and parts of the trailer, because the ball heads will come in different sizes, we must ensure that the right linker is used on the right size ball heads so that there is no safety risk. Most linkers have a locking latch above them to ensure that the linker locks after successfully connecting the ball.

Safety Chain = safety chain

After the trailer linker is locked, a safety chain needs to be attached to both ends. Prevents the trailer from completely separating. The length of the safety chain should not be too long or too short, and the natural down length can be.

Trailer Wiring Harness. Trailer wiring harness

Wiring harnesses for RV brake lights or width lights are provided, generally with a four-pin standard interface. In addition, it can be used as a signal source for RV braking function.

Lovely! The above, and then continue to update the different choices of various parts of the guidance, welcome to have questions about the small partners to leave a message to discuss Ha!
